What a week! From the arrival of the modular house on Monday morning, to the PK Fashion Show of Halloween Costumes yesterday, and looking ahead to the Roaring 20’s Harvest Bash tomorrow, it’s been a week to remember at the New School. One thing is certain: this community delivers in wonderful ways!
Halloween at the New School was a magical day. Costumes were great fun, but even more special was the Spook-A-Rama. From about 1:00 pm on Thursday afternoon until the end of the day, older children hosted younger children in their classrooms, hosting games and other spooky and fun activities. It’s inspiring to watch the older students taking care of their younger classmates and friends, making sure that a good time was had by all! It’s an important part of what makes New School a great place to be a child: students are invested in their school community and work to have fun together as they get smarter daily.
Please be on the lookout for the Parent Conference sign-up early next week. Teachers are ready to share specifics about student progress and look forward to meeting with parents on Wednesday, November 13th.
I am very eager to experience the Harvest Bash tomorrow night! Thanks in advance to Kate Olson for her work in supporting the co-chairs Carol Evens and Doug Massey. It’s going to be a humdinger of an evening and I can’t wait to see many of you there!
Happy November!
