From Danielle:

Upper School Feast
This afternoon was one of the most beloved traditions here at Nantucket New School - the Upper School Holiday Feast - and today did not disappoint! The Upper School students decorated the dining hall, created centerpieces for each table, hand-made place cards, and hung door decorations. They brought in salads and cookies, shrimp and salads, sparkling water and lemonade, vegetables and charcuterie, chicken, pork and pasta. They dressed up and threw a wonderful party for our community. We know they didn’t do it alone. Thank you to all of the families who helped with the preparations as well as the clean-up.

Magic Seekers
Only two and a half more days of school before Holiday Break! We look forward to wrapping up 2023 with your wonderful children. I heard someone say recently that children see magic because they look for it. Your “magic seekers” are the reason our faculty love coming to work each day.

I’d like to wish a Merry Christmas to all those in our community who celebrate and a Happy New Year!

Warmly,
Danielle Henry Beale
Interim Head of School

Families in Need
Thank you! Once again, Fairwinds Counseling Center is overjoyed by the Nantucket New School community. We collectively provided three families with gifts, Christmas trees graciously donated from Moors End Farm, tree stands and lights, and homemade ornaments made by the 4th grade. So, thank you for making the holiday season a brighter one!
