We find ourselves at the end of another week of winter that was anything but dreary. While students in grades four through eight spent the mornings rockin’ the ERB tests, their younger schoolmates were deep in their own projects. Second grade finished their unit on the solar system and their work is displayed on and up the stairs…..I love how the light on the wall looks like a sun!
Lower school students continued their study of Matisse in art and the third grade “Goldfish” unit is amazing.
On Thursday, Upper School students traveled to Fairgrounds Restaurant where they received awards for the Daughters of the American Revolution essays. Everyone did a great job.
After the long week of testing, the Upper School “blew-off some steam” this afternoon at the first annual NNS Winter Olympic Games. Jack certainly had great spirit.
And the relay race was over in a flash!
And the medal winners were very proud!
Thank you to those of you who have returned your enrollment contracts for next year. Please remember that they are due back on Friday, February 23rd. Our winter admissions Open House is next Thursday February 15th and is a great time to visit with the teachers your children will have next year.
Many of you have already heard, but I thought you would like to know that I’ve accepted an offer to be the Head of School at the Springmont School in Sandy Springs, GA (just north of Atlanta). Megan, Siggy, and I are looking forward to our new adventure and appreciate your interest during the search process.
Have a great weekend,
