While I certainly had a relaxing and restful break, it’s nice to be out front in the morning shaking hands again, although the subzero wind chill this morning had me thinking about appropriate dress! Wenche Gazaille told me last year that “there is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing” and we all need to be mindful of this when getting ready for school. In fact, this picture of Ryan, Jack and Ellis from last winter is a good guideline when packing for recess. If Ryan had his gloves on this would be a perfect picture of how to dress for the weather. Though his “dab” is pretty good!
Of course, the other concern that comes with all the clothing and hats is the threat of lice. Please remind your child(ren) not to share hats and to avoid head to head contact. Thank you.
Speaking of thanks – I know I speak for the entire faculty in thanking PONNS for the holiday presents we received before break. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Finally, as we plow through the “dark days” of winter please keep this poster that Liz Feeley has in her office in the back of your mind.
Have a great weekend,
